Women and the Constitution: Kandahar 2003
On September 2nd - 5th, 2003, WAW held its third annual conference in the compound of ACS in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The conference brought together 45 ethnically diverse women, community leaders in the movement for women's and human rights from all over Afghanistan. The Afghan Women’s Bill of Rights was produced at this conference and presented to President Karzai.

WAW Benefit Movie Screening Featuring Osama
On January 7th, 2004, WAW held a benefit featuring appetizers and wine, movie screening of Golden Globe winner Osama, plus question and answer session with the director, Siddiq Barmak.

Afghan Heritage Day
On August 18th, 2002, WAW participated in Afghan Heritage Day in Queens. The festivities included Afghan food, music, dancing, games, speakers and more. WAW members spoke at the event and had an information table.

Bringing Hope Through Education
On Friday, May 31st, 2002, WAW held their first fundraising dinner and raised $10,500 to benefit School of Hope. The evening included keynote speaker, Sima Wali, Afghan food and musical performances.
