International Women's Day 2004

Women for Afghan Women (WAW) celebrated International Women's Day on March 8th by cohosting a gala benefit along with Afghan Communicator (AC) to benefit projects that support Afghan women securing their social, political and economic rights.

Among the speakers were Councilman John Liu, who gave WAW a Proclamation for our great work in the Flushing community.

The evening was filled with great food, great speakers and entertainment.
