For the past two years, Women for Afghan Women (WAW) and the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) Center have cultivated a strong, values-based partnership grounded in shared compassion and service to the community. This year, their collaboration has once again brought joy and dignity to Afghan families during Eid.

With a generous $10,000 grant from the ADAMS Center, WAW Virginia Community Center was able to provide Eid gift cards to 50 Afghan community families during this special time. The gifts ensured families could celebrate with warmth, abundance, and dignity. This initiative reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to uplift the vulnerable and empower communities through culturally meaningful support.

One recipient shared, “I never expected to receive such a generous gift. This gesture has reminded me of the true spirit of Eid—helping and supporting one another. I’m so thankful to WAW and ADAMS Center for their kindness and for making Eid so special for us.”
The ADAMS Center has long supported WAW’s mission to protect and promote the rights of Afghan women, children, and families through a culturally competent, community-based approach. From co-hosting educational events and donation drives to providing crucial financial support during Ramadan and beyond, the ADAMS Center has stood beside WAW as a true partner in service.

WAW is deeply grateful for the ADAMS Center’s continued support and shared commitment to uplifting Afghan families in Virginia and beyond. Together, we are planting seeds of hope, resilience, and compassion that bloom year after year.
