Classes at WAW
WAW’s New York Community Center offers immigrant women, men, youth, and children a wide range of literacy, educational support, citizenship, and empowerment programs. Classes are designed to meet the needs of NYC’s Muslim immigrant community at every level.

Women’s Citizenship Classes
Our United States Citizenship Classes offer students (women only) support for the US citizenship/naturalization exam, including sample written tests and mock interviews. Read on for more details.

Boys Leadership Program
For boys aged 10-15 providing them with leadership opportunities and a safe space to discuss gender equality, women’s rights, religion, and culture. Read on for more details.
Afghan Youth Rising
For young women aged 16-20, providing them with support on college applications, including writing exercises, and leadership workshops, communications skills development, life skills training, and career counseling. Read on for more details.
