Job Description Women for Afghan Women (WAW) is a women's human rights organization based in New York City and Afghanistan. We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and energetic individual to join the New York Community Center (NYCC) team as a Citizenship Instructor. This position will work directly with WAW clients in the NYCC to prepare them for the U.S. Naturalization Test. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in ELL instruction, citizenship, or the equivalent, and must hold a degree or certificate in TESOL. This is a part-time, remote position on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-1pm, October through June. (8 hours per week including teaching, preparation and administration) with a pay rate of $35/hour.
